Kids Yoga is all about…

…getting involved! πŸ˜€

I am in my 12th year of classroom teaching. Yep, it has been quite a few moments. πŸ˜‚ But I have been a student ever since I can remember and that makes me feel young and inspired (most of the time). πŸ™Œ I can truly say that I learn something new everyday, mostly from the children around me. 😍

I am really interested in how children learn and how we as adults and teachers, can improve children’s learning. When I think back on my own learning in primary and secondary school, what has stuck with me most, is the times I was involved in a project or task…and also the times I was struggling, which was mainly in maths. πŸ˜… But that is a story for another time!

One of my most cherished primary school memories is in year 6 when we raised money for children in Africa. πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ We visited the families in our community and we collected items to sell during our yearly fleamarket. There was so much excitement amongst us students, because were all involved and we had a real sense of purpose. 😊

In my kids yoga classes I try to use my experience as a student and a teacher to help children find meaning, too. And one way I do that, is to give kids lots of chances to share their ideas, experiences and creativity. πŸ’š Sometimes this is called co-creation. You see, in the end we are all teachers and students, regardless of our background, education, or age. πŸ€“

P.s. I am taking bookings now for term 4! Link in bio πŸ’•
