When I take a moment to pause, it can feel so awkward at first. 🙄 My brain just wants to keep going, my body doesn’t like to sit still and there always seem to be 100 more important things to do. It feels so much easier to keep going. 😂 However, I have learned that I need moments during the day to just: STOP.✋
Like the tiny little pause before inhalation and exhalation. This pause in our breathing cycle has always been there and will always be there, for as long as we breathe. It is almost like we are naturally given permission to stop, to slow down.
Since I have started noticing these micro pauses, I feel a bit more space, a bit more present. In this space, I can feel more and think less. 😊
Today, during some of the pauses in my day, I felt so grateful. ❤ It felt like a huge, warm hug. I felt grateful for my health, my family and friends, my personal journey, my career and for ALL the support I have received in my life so far. 🙏
I will try and remember to keep pausing from time to time, even if it is just to take
