Pinwheel breathing……this was such a fun way to explore the breath and to arrive in the present moment, in today’s Kids Yoga class.💕 These pinwheels were so tricky for me to put together, though! 😂 But I knew the kids would love them, so I did my best this morning to get it done in time. Some pieces broke off and Youtube wasn’t much help, but luckily my husband offered to help out and together we got the job done. 🥰
When there is so much sadness and destruction happening in the world, my mind easily fills up with questions whether activities like these are of any help at all….🤯 I mean, it is not going to give flood victims in NSW and QLD their homes back, or help the 2 million refugees in Ukraine….🥺
But I have decided that more than ever, I want to help out where I can…. And today that meant showing up for the Younger Yogis and providing a safe space for them to move, play, stretch, breathe, laugh and connect. 🧘
Maybe, just maybe….we can each help in our own way to support our children in creating a happier future.💚 I so want to be part of this movement! 🙋 What about you? I think Kids Yoga and mindfulness are awesome tools for this.
So today these pinwheels were symbol of hope for me.🌈 Hope that our kids grow up to be healthy, resilient and compassionate human beings who will lead their communities with kind thoughts, kind words and kindness in their hearts. ❤🙏
