What is kids yoga?

What is kids yoga? Our children live in a busy world!Probably busier than the world we grew up in. There is school pressure, video games, social media, competitive sports and other outside influences. 🙈 This can be stressful for kids and teens and it can have a negative impact on their mental health.

Kids yoga is a type of physical activity that is non-competitive, engaging and lots of fun.🙌 During a kids or teen yoga class, I give children and teens a chance to move, relax, breathe and explore…..a chance to connect.❤ A moment in time to let go of everything that is happening outside or the room and to just BE… Whatever that looks like for them, in that moment.

I welcome all children 🤗 regardless of gender, cultural, spiritual or religious beliefs or body type. Together we practice yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation in a safe and supportive space. 😊 And most importantly, together we have heaps of fun!!

I will create a seperate post about all the benefits of kids yoga, since there are so, so many! 😂

Kids yoga classes are starting in term 3 @fleurieuyoga for 5 to 11 year olds on Wednesdays from 4 pm to 4.45 pm. I am super excited! 😍
