Anne is the founder of Younger Yoga. She is often surrounded by children. Anne either teaches primary school students, guides kids yoga & mindfulness classes, or plays somewhere close to the Fleurieu coast with her own two kids. Children light up Anne’s life.
Anne has spent most of her adult life studying, teaching, and caring for children and their wellbeing. This informs her kids mindfulness & yoga programs. In her classes, Anne creates a safe space where children spend time connecting with their inner world and the group. Anne welcomes children exactly how they are, away from any pressures, devices and outside distractions. In today’s world, finding joy, connection and calm might be exactly what young people need.
Anne started practising yoga and mindfulness in 2007, before her first child was born. In 2018, she completed a Level 1 + 2 Kids Yoga Teacher Training. Two years later, she completed a 250hr Multi-style Yoga Teacher Training, during which her second child was born. Anne’s morning meditation and regular yoga practice serve like an anchor in daily life.
In Anne’s younger years, kids mindfulness & yoga programs were not readily available. Anne now realises how practicing at a young age would have benefited her social and emotional wellbeing, as well as her mental health. It is from this realisation that Anne founded Younger Yoga.
I nurture confident, compassionate and resilient children by offering engaging Yoga & Mindfulness programs.
I would like to acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the lands and waters of the Adelaide region, on which my family and I are so fortunate to play and work.
I pay respect to elders past, present and emerging. I acknowledge and respect the Kaurna people’s cultural, spiritual, physical and emotional connection with their land, waters and community.
