After School Kids Yoga
Are you looking for an inclusive after school activity for your child to grow their confidence, meet new friends and get physically active? Can your child benefit from calming their mind and releasing stress and tension?
Children today are facing challenges that most of us caregivers didn’t have in childhood: social media, excessive screen time and the effects of Covid-19, just to name a few. And that is on top of stressors like peer pressure, changes in the family situation, negative thoughts and frustrations at school. The saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ might be more accurate than ever. Younger Yoga aims to be part of your village to help nurture your child, so it can grow up to be confident, resilient, and compassionate.
Anne has developed Kids Yoga classes to help improve your child’s wellbeing and overall mental health.
In class, children are invited to engage in:
- Breathing practices to calm and to energize
- Physical yoga poses
- Mindfulness activities
- Yoga games
- Relaxation techniques
Anne is a qualified Kids Yoga teacher and experienced primary school teacher. She creates a safe, nurturing space where children can connect with their bodies, minds, and the other children in class.
Anne welcomes young people exactly how they are, away from any pressures, devices, and outside distractions. She encourages children to share their ideas, experiences, and thoughts.
In today’s world, finding joy, connection and calm might be exactly what children need to feel more confident, compassionate, and resilient.

My son William absolutely loved kids yoga with Anne. He really resonates with Ann as she’s so gentle and has a natural calming nature about her. He loves being able to relax there as it finds it hard to relax. He looks forward to the class every week. He loves learning new things every week and enjoys the little games you play. Anne, the instructor was amazing, kind and gentle with both my kids. One struggled concentrating and Anne was open and flexible with making it work for him. My daughter loved every minute and performed the poses after lessons! Highly recommended 😊

Both my children had their first Yoga experience at Younger Yoga recently, and both loved it. They came home telling me about the different poses and excited to show me what they had learnt. Anne was wonderful and relaxed with the children and provides a caring, nurturing and fun environment to learn. We can't wait for classes to start next term.
